You Asked…

Q: Do I get a template to use for my website?

A: A WordPress theme will be installed on your website to be use no matter which website package you choose.

Plus and Premium package customers will be offered links to 3 or 4 business themes that are relevant to your business in which to choose one from. The cost of any of these theme will be included in on the price for either the Plus or Premium packages, whichever you choose.

Also, the Plus or Premium package customers won’t need to be doing anything with the website itself. All you will need to do issue me an email with instructions on what you want on which web page, and I will be the one doing the work on your website for you.

Q: Do pictures come with the template that I can use?

A: No, pictures in the themes that you will be sent links to in order to choose one will NOT come with the theme that you choose. Those pictures are merely placeholders to demonstrate to you what your website could look like. You will need to supply all of the necessary images for your website.

Before you get started searching for images, I truly insist that you read how using images incorrectly could cost you a lawsuit. In this way, you will be able to circumvent any chance of such a nightmare happening to you.

Dreamstime.com (NOT an affiliate link!) is a great website to purchase your images from … and, is the ONLY stock photo website that I trust.

Q: Where do I get my information to use on my website; does it come with the template?

No, there is NO text included with your theme.

You should NEVER EVER use what anyone else has written in the way of website content. Google tends to rank duplicated content much lower than unique content.

And, you will need to supply all images and text needed in the creation of your website … unless you would like me to outsource that for you. However, this would be an extra cost over and above the price of my Plus or Premium packages. This sort of cost would depend on the amount of content (text) you would need.

Q: What pages do I need?

A: The pages I recommend you start with is your loading or homepage, an about page, services or product page (depending if you are selling services or products, of course), a contact page, testimony page, a sitemap, a privacy policy page… and if necessary, a blog.

Q: Do I really need a blog?

A: If your business is highly competitive (in other words, there are lots of local competitors) then, yes I would recommend you create a blog relevant to your business. You would only need to publish one post, let us say, every month, ONLY IF your competition is NOT blogging at all… but more often if they are.

Providing you offer unique, quality content on your blog, you could gain SEO advantage over your competition.

Q: Once my website is all set up, do you “hand over” the keys (access)?

A: All Starter website package customers definitely have their full access restored to them once I have installed WordPress for you as well as free business theme, yes.

As for the Plus or Premium website package customers, you receive a full year of website management as part of your package. Once that year is close to expiring, I will issue you an invoice for another full years worth or management for you to accept or deny.

One full year of website management mean that I update your site’s versions of: WordPress, your theme, and plugins… as well as solving broken links whenever that becomes necessary… along with any minor updates/additions that YOU might need done.

However, if as a Plus or Premium customer, you prefer that I setup your website and then hand over full access to you for someone else to continue to manage, I have no problem with that either as I am here to serve your needs.

The Plus or Premium “my times” are clearly stated on the Services page.

Q: Do you offer website hosting?

A: No, I no longer offer website hosting services simply because it is highly recommended that any and all website owners (especially business owners) own their own hosting account. PLUS most hosting service providers now include one domain registration as part of their package, making hosting inexpensive.

I recommend this too all business owners, as it provide you with a means of protecting yourself from having your website ever held captive by any unruly website developer/designer.

PLUS, I also recommend that any and all local business owners host your sites on a LOCAL (to your business) hosting providers server as there really is a benefit to hosting your website local.

Q: Do I really need an SSL certificate for my website?

A: Yes, you sure do, and here’s why your website needs HTTPS as opposed to HTTP.
