When used correctly, you better believe chatbots really do work. According to Chatbot Magazine, they can reduce your customer service costs by as much as 30%.
And according to Venture Beat, by this year chatbots will save companies about 8 billion dollars per year in customer support costs.
AI (artificial intelligence) is here to stay, and many sites are now using different types of chatbots to help their website visitors get what they’re looking for, which then will discourage their visitors bouncing from their online store/shop.
This in turn, will improve your website’s SEO when visitors stay on your site longer.
Why You Want to Use Chatbots
Apparently, customers tend to get very frustrated when constantly asked to repeat their complaint or to make a suggestion regarding your making an improvement, and then they are ignored.
The chances of losing such a customer is said to be instantly reduced when offered to reply through an AI chatbot.

Customer service is STILL a priority, or rather it needs to be, for any business whose owner is set on success.
It is stated that 91% of unsatisfied customers will never return for a repeat of a product or service. And that stat is not to be taken lightly.
Setting your chatbot up properly, you can then acknowledge your customers with an AI chatbot, letting them know that their complaint (or an inquiry) has been received, which will serve to enhance your chance of gaining a customer’s favour.
With more and more users, accessing mobile devices, you will find that chatbots are more appreciated (when setup properly!), saving your customer’s time when not having to call your company and be put on hold or bounced from person to person, and asked to repeat themselves.
Back in 2016, predicted stats showed the following savings that a company could expect to experience when using charbots to help with their customer services:
- 60% on insurance services
- 46% on financial services
- 36% on sales, and
- 30% on customer support

These potential savings were predicted, due to the chatbot technology automating 30% of the tasks that were being done by customer support staff.
Today, the chatbot technology has been vastly improved, and can be used for even more than customer service, making your potential savings even greater.
Knowing the right way to setup your chatbot could be the difference between gaining a new customer as opposed to your website visitor leaving your site, because they were not able to find what they were hoping to locate with ease.
Chatbots can be used to:
- increase your website’s conversion rate
- get you more leads
- build an email list faster, and
- increase your sales.
They can even be used for quizzes and surveys, if you so wish.
Are Chatbots Successful?
If IBM estimated that chatbots can successfully answer up to 80% of routine questions, wouldn’t that save YOUR business money?
However, chatbots may have limited responses if they are not setup properly, and they may not be able to answer multi-part questions or questions that require a decision.

Fear not, I have a suggestion to help you forego this type of issue, so keep reading.
Chatbots can be setup to offer choices in order to lessen your visitors chance to become frustrated.
If large companies swear by their chatbots for helping their customers while they save millions of dollars, then why couldn’t a small business benefit too?
Well, I’m here to tell you that now you can!
All you need to do is have the ability to know what questions that one of your potential customers might ask when visiting your website.
Whether you are a:
- local business owner with a website looking to make a profit,
- eCommerce seller,
- video marketer,

- freelancer,

There are even those who are exploring ways to help with the mental health crisis that we are now experiencing in North America. The use of chatbots are being given serious consideration as a method to solve the youth mental health crisis.
It seems though the use of chatbots is only limited in our ability of discovering constructive ways to use them.
So, if you’re seriously considering adding a chatbot to your business, you need not fret.
You won’t have to spend thousands of dollars on programmers or hire a chatbot agency, and you won’t need to have any special skills. As long as you can easily use a computer, you can have your very own chatbot on your website without breaking the bank.
And, as you can see by my own chatbot, you can easily personalize your chatbot with your business name and an image of your choosing.
You can even use chatbots on different web pages, if that would be beneficial to your business.
Back in July 2019, Gartner stated that by 2022, 70% of white-collar workers will interact with chatbots on a daily basis.
